"Troubling" things floating to the surface in the Gray campaign

We're going to reserve judgment on the Adam Gray for Assembly campaign at the moment, but things are beginning to appear that are, as that grand old empty oversized suit of our politics, Dennis "The Pimlico Kid" Cardoza, used to say, "troubling."
Just today we have a letter of support for the Gray campaign from Mike Lynch. What Lynch, former chief of staff for the former Rep. Gary Condit, the new father-in-law of the candidate, is defending is a technique Lynch and Condit always used in their elections: getting signatures on a petition for nomination rather than paying a filing fee. As one of the comments on the letter, included below, states: Lynch's so called "volunteers" were paid.
Below the comments on the letter, we have provided readers with a list of the donors to the Gray campaign. You get a Badlands Gold Star for every local name you can indentify among the 720 donors. The numerous academic contributions may give us some clue about who Gray, who didn't finish college, continues to list himself with impunity -- against the minimal UC requirements for the position -- as a UC Merced lecturer. But, as the comments below Lynch's letter will inform you, that would appear to be only one of frauds being perpetrated by this campaign.
